Mike Scott started his career with Anglo in Zambia, moving on to operating a small mine in Zimbabwe. He obtained an Honours in Geology from Cape Town, later adding an MSc in Mining Engineering from London. He was part of the team which discovered Otjihase Cu-Mine in Namibia, Shangani Ni-Mine in Zimbabwe and developed Potgietersrus Pt-Mine in South Africa. He started on his own in 1983 and played a part in establishing two open pit gold mines, the diamond mines Marsfontein and Klipspringer and Messina Platinum Mine.

Robert Kiefer obtained an MSc in Geology from the Ludwigs-Maximilians University of Munich. He started his career working in hydro- and environmental Geology, moving on to gold and diamond mining in South Africa. Prior to joining MinEx Projects Robert undertook consulting work on different commodities in a number of countries. At the same time he completed a (gold focused) PhD in Geology at the University of the Witwatersrand. With MinEx he has worked on a variety of gold deposits in southern Africa.

John is financial and strategic advisor to MinEx. He started his career with Gold Fields in South Africa. He then moved to Canada working on the financial side of the mining industry. For seven years he was a Director of the Royal Bank of Canada. Following this he was with Southern Era Resources and then Guinor Gold which was transformed and expanded prior to a +US$300M sale in 2005. John has over twenty years experience in the mining industry; in exploration, analysis and investment banking.
