MinEx Projects is a Johannesburg based company whose focus is mineral exploration. Our philosophy is that exploration is a business in its own right and that our experience and technical competence will ensure success as a business enterprise.

MinEx search for and develop, exploration and mining projects worldwide. We investigate a great many mineral opportunities brought to our attention by individuals and companies, selecting some for development.

Of the thirty plus projects selected since 1992, seventeen have been completed with three mines brought into production, a success ratio of one in six. Messina Platinum Mine as well as Marsfontein Diamond Mine and Klipspringer Diamond Mine are all examples of successful projects generated by MinEx. These are substantial deposits.

• Messina has a published resource of more than 25 million ounces and drilling is underway to extend this;
• Marsfontein, an open pit diamond mine, produced almost two million carats with a value of $246 million; 
• Three other MinEx generated projects are at present close to or in the feasibility study stage;
• The Grass Valley open pit platinum project south of Mokopane has a resource of 93 million tons containing 3.6 million ounces estimated from drilling;
• The Millennium UG2 platinum bearing chromitite reef project near Groblersdal with a drilled resource of 30 million tons containing 3.7 million ounces of PGMs, and;
• The Dwaalkop project east of Messina with 9.1 million ounces.

Significant platinum resources are also present at the Aurora open pit platreef  project and the Phosiri project, the latter a traditional Merensky Reef and UG2 chromitite deposit.

Another sixteen projects worldwide are at various stages of development, many at the drilling stage. These comprise four platinum, four gold and eight diamond projects, all actively being developed at this time. All of these projects were identified as exploration targets by MinEx Projects.

Few, if any, companies can equal this track record in successful mineral exploration. We have twenty plus years of experience as a company and an impeccable reputation.  

MinEx have been in business since 1983. At first we were purely a geological services company. In 1992 we generated our first exploration project, a diamond project near Kimberley. In 2000 we split into two companies, MSA Geoservices which is a compliance orientated geological services company with a staff of 150 plus and MinEx Projects which operates as an exploration company with a small, experienced, business orientated staff. The two companies are now quite separate with their own staff, separate offices, no cross directorships and independent funding.
